The Queen of Swords

QueenOfSwords

Here is the next installment in my own Tarot design project over on DeviantArt using the Miku Miku Moving program. Please let me know what you think!

Not to worry, I’ll continue to feature the series I started with in the links below.

Today we’re featuring and exploring the Queen of Swords, the thirteenth card of the Sword Suit in the Minor Arcana.

Additional Card Images

So take a look at these four cards on DeviantArt and compare them to the first one I presented. How are they the same? How are they different? What do they say to you?

Take your time. Let them “speak” to your soul and mind.

What This Card Means to Me

In many ways this card embodies the best of what hypomania brings to me with the illness of my Bipolar. I feel free to speak my mind and my brain moves at rapid speeds. In this state, it’s the only time I’m quick to laugh – both at myself and the world.

However, life has taught me much. I know there is a darker side to all things, even in this. I can’t lie to myself or others and say everything is just fine. There can be no pulling of punches here. I need to be quick in bolstering my self-care and asserting my advocacy. If I don’t, I’ll worsen and my illness will progress either into mania or depression.

But this doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy what I have or make use of what I have to the best of my ability right now. Yes, I need to manage it but I should also put it to good use while it lasts.

As far as other areas of life, this card tells me that I need to use similar methods of assessment with a dose of humor. I can’t always take everything so serious all the time. It’s taxing and boring. There is much to be said in the wisdom of laughter.

The Music Playlist

In the spirit of all this, these are the songs picked out thus far for this card.

Do you have any songs you think should be on this list? Suggest them in the comments!

The Writing Prompt

Now as a writer with everything we’ve gone over with this card what comes to mind? Start writing! Doesn’t matter what it is. Stretch your mind and let the card speak to you.

I would love it if you linked or pinged back what you wrote so I could see where you went with this.

Happy writing!
