The King of Swords

Here is the next installment in my own Tarot design project over on DeviantArt using the Miku Miku Moving program. Please let me know what you think!

Not to worry, I’ll continue to feature the series I started with in the links below.

This is the final installment of my tarot writing prompts here on the Chaos Pen blog. From here on out, future installments will be posted on my main blog titled the Art of Chaos every Thursday. My art project is too sporadic and unpredictable for this, but will continue in my Deviant Art gallery. I want to thank everyone that has followed me here on this blog and wish to apologize for the poor scheduling here. I hope that by keeping it on my main blog that things will run more smoothly. If this is something you would like to continue to participate in, I invite you to follow me over there. I do hope to see you there!

Today we’re featuring and exploring the King of Swords, the fourteenth card of the Sword Suit in the Minor Arcana.

Additional Card Images

So take a look at these four cards on DeviantArt and compare them to the first one I presented. How are they the same? How are they different? What do they say to you?

Take your time. Let them “speak” to your soul and mind.

Themes of the Card

The King of Swords is the fourteenth card in the Swords Suit of the Minor Arcana and presents the fourth court card of the suit.

What This Card Means to Me

The King of Swords is the master of the mind. He says what he means and he means what he says. He thinks hard before he speaks and deliberates long before he acts. In many ways I think this card represents the classic wise king. But I also think this card warns against separating yourself from the heart. Sometimes it can be too easy to live entirely in your head and run only on logic. You need to allow yourself to feel things once in awhile and just be human. It’s important not to forget that.

The Music Playlist

In the spirit of all this, these are the songs picked out thus far for this card.

Do you have any songs you think should be on this list? Suggest them in the comments!

The Writing Prompt

Now as a writer with everything we’ve gone over with this card what comes to mind? Start writing! Doesn’t matter what it is. Stretch your mind and let the card speak to you.

I would love it if you linked or pinged back what you wrote so I could see where you went with this.

Happy writing!
